We all have various life stories, yet some of them do not really reflect who we are. Many outstanding footballers have made compromises in order to reach their goals; some have made difficult decisions, while others have made simple ones.
In a good society, it is not acceptable to use or sell hard drugs. Many lives have been devastated by drugs, and selling hard drugs has put many individuals to prison, and one Chelsea star was on his way to prison.
This story is about a Chelsea footballer who had a difficult childhood and ended up peddling narcotics.
Ziyech Hakim
Hakim Ziyech grew up in an impoverished family and had a difficult childhood. When Ziyech was ten years old, he lost his father, and Hakim Ziyech and his family's situation deteriorated.
Hakim was so shaken by his father's loss that he was unable to attend school after his father died.
He began distributing narcotics and was only able to avoid going to prison for a short time.
Many worried Ziyech would follow in the footsteps of his brothers, who had been in and out of prison, but he was able to pull himself out of the quagmire and focus on football.
Ziyech wouldn't have been able to do it without the assistance of Aziz Doufikar. Aziz Doufikar, the first Moroccan professional player in Dutch, met Ziyech.
Doufikar assisted Ziyech in focusing on his football career.
Hakim Ziyech began his professional career at Heerenveen in 2012.
His first season was not particularly successful, but in his second, he emerged as Heerenveen's greatest player, earning him a move to Twente in 2014.
He transferred to Ajax in 2016 after two years at Twente, and it was there that he made the most impression. Ziyech signed Chelsea for £38 million from Ajax in 2020.
Ziyech was fortunate in that he was able to overcome his difficulties; else, he would not be at Chelsea Football Club today.
