The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which was supposed to hold on April 6, was called of by the 'West African Examination Councils'. It was announced via their twitter page @waecnigeria.

Since President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the lockdown adding another 4 weeks, students should get engaged b reading their books, purchasing necessary materials for the examination e.t.c.

We all know that the pandemic is still battling with the lives of innocent individuals. Citizens cannot be made to be put to risk simply because of an examination. The Councils did a great and commendable job by calling off the examination.
However, they further announced that the date of the examination will be released as soon as there is a fixed date. But for now, the examination can't begin.
Moreover, do not believe any fake news speculating around that students are already registering. It's a blatant lie! As of now, no registrations is made.

Remember that the tinetable for 2020 WAEC was already released? The council also added that the timetable will be suspended as of further notice and announcement. So I urge WAEC candidates to take note of these things.
1. All WAEC candidates should take note that there is no yet registration available. Students should get updated by visiting their official website regularly to get updated about when the commencement begins. However, you can avoid stress by following this author and you get updated instantly.
2. All WAEC candidates should take note that no fixed date for commencement. The council officially announced this through their social media pages.
3. All WAEC candidates should engage in serious study and practice, as this is a sign they are well prepared to sit for the exam and easily pass.

Do you think the councils did a great job by calling of the commencement?
