In this part of the World teachers is the profession that is not highly celebrated, but they are the people who trained those people that are highly celebrated. It is always advisable to thank and celebrate people that made you what you are, because they are a bigger part of your success story.
About two year ago our Ex President named Olusegun Obasanjo pay a visit to his former mentor, and class teacher on Christmas day. The name of his class teacher is Mr James Popoola, and he was 91 year old at that time. Olusegun said that Mr James was part of his success story, as he was his class teacher when he attended the Baptist high school, for boys in the year 1950.

The former classmate of Obasanjo who is also the traditional ruler of Ibara, named Joseph Omolade accompanied the Ex President, to visit his class teacher. The Ex President really brought back old memories, as he and his teacher engaged in different conversations.
"I am very happy to see you, I have not seen you in decades, I have never seen you for over 35 years, and I am delighted to get the opportunity to host you before my death." James Popoola said before Obasanjo led him with his wheelchair into his home.

Obasanjo said he has been meaning to visit him, but he was unable to do that due to his tight schedule.

"We are extremely excited to visit you sir, I even told Kabiyesi that i will remind you of his behavior in class at that time. Do you still remember those days?" Obasanjo asked after they entered the sitting room.
"Daddy often times remembers all your pranks. He must be very happy receiving you today.” The former tutor’s wife, Mojisola Popoola, while contributing replied.
