These men of God include Pastor Tunde Bakare, Pastor Sam Adeyemi and Prophet TB Joshua. Legit.ng discusses their reasons for refusing to reopen their churches despite the approval by the Lagos state government.
1. Pastor Tunde Bakare
Pastor Bakare is the general overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), formerly known as the Latter Rain Assembly.
During his church's online Sunday service on August 2, the man of God wondered why the federal government reopened churches despite its warning that August would be the peak of the deadly disease.
He said: "Do not let anyone, whether religious leader or governmental leader, to drive you like a sheep to the slaughter." Pastor Bakare urged people to ensure that they follow all the necessary guidelines so as to be safe.
