Cesar Azplicueta (Penalty)

Bringing down Aubameyang in the 18-yard box is unprofessional. He could have done that outside the box as the margin between outside and inside of the box is so close.

Azplicueta left the pitch after 30 minutes due to injury which brings more damages to Blue’s defense.

Mateo Kovacic (Sent Off)

Mateo Kovacic really lost in the midfield and caught multiple times struggling with Arsenal’s holding midfielder, Granit Xhaka.

He received his first and second yellow cards which result in his dismissal in the second half of the show.

Frank Lampard (Manager)

The manager himself should be responsible for this mess.

Regardless of his player selection, I felt he should have considered the defense tactics and study the game well rather than going forward.

It’s obvious Kovacic is lost and Giroud upfront is nowhere to be found after 10 minutes in the game. That’s the manager’s fault, I guess.

Anthony Taylor (Referee)

Personally, I think the referee was on Arsenal’s side having dismissing to attend to Arsenal’s Goalkeeper on catching the ball outside the box.

Emiliano Martinez was pictured saving the ball on air while all his body was outside the 18-yard box. It’s a straight red card in the law of football.

Apart from that, I think the referee’s decision on cards was severe most especially on the boys in the blue shirt.
