3 Nigerian Policemen Who Were Kidnapped and Asked to Pay Huge Ransom Before Their Release - Opera News

Kidnapping in Nigeria is currently a means of income to jobless individuals and criminals of which the government and political leaders are afraid of its increase daily in the country.

High officials and rich businessmen now have that little fear of being kidnapped at the back of their mind and asked to pay huge ransom before they will be released.

It is of a truth kidnapping is now rampant in Nigeria and I was shocked when I stumbled on a news in the internet of a D.P.O being kidnapped and asked to pay N3 million before his release. 'Chaii...'

On this article I'll share 3 Ranked Nigerian policemen who were kidnapped and asked to pay huge ransom.

(1) FRSC Officers Bayegunmi and Abioye:

Recall the two FRSC officers who were kidnapped at iwaraje, oriade LGA, osun state mid- last year?

Identified as Bayegunmi and Abioye, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of N1 million before they will be released.

According to reports they said;

"just now, the wives of the victims called sector commander to inform that the kidnappers are requesting for N1 million and to be paid by 0900 hrs this morning"

(2) Assistant Commissioner of Police Musa Rambo:

It was truly fortunate that Mr musa Rambo was rescued by a combined team of police operatives from Kaduna , Niger and zone 7 command headquarters, Abuja, along with members of the elite special forces of the NPF.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Musa Rambo and his driver was kidnapped on their way to jos one Saturday evening.

Afterwards the kidnappers demanded a huge ransom of N50 million from the relatives of Musa But due to the swift action of combined team of police operatives Musa Rambo was rescued safely and 2 suspect were taken into custody by the combined team.

This alone shows how kidnapping is taking a new level in the country.

(3) D.P.O Mr Okoro:

I was really amazed by this one. A whole D.P.O being kidnapped only shows how the insecurity in this country is and also how the rate of kidnapping is going rampant in Nigeria.

Mr Okoro the D.P.O in charge of Galilee police station in ute- ogbeje community at Ika North east LGA was kidnapped by gunmen on his way to Asaba, Delta state

It was gathered that a ransom of N3 million was paid by the Delta state police command to release the D.P.O from their custody. Can you imagine?

Although there were claims to deny the D.P.O was truly kidnapped others stated;

"Why is the CP lying, everybody knows that it was D.P.O Okoro that was kidnapped but we also heard that he has been released since Sunday after the payment of N3 million ransom'

There you have it. After reading this I hope you've cone to knowledge of how the insecurity in the country is, hence be very careful in doing your business as the case kidnapping is rampant. Thanks.
