Nigerian movie industry is one remarkable entertainment industry that has grown over the years. Amidst several senseless and sensitive controversies that have rocked its boat, it still comes along beautifully. The industry keeps advancing and bubbling with siblings who are related by blood and I wonder if this ever gets you joyous watching them on screenplay.
Family remains the best support system anyone can ever have, and it equally takes a whole new dimension when the family in question, is in the same industry. This is perhaps, the most commonest objective why this article is tasked with the work of exploring Nollywood superstars who have got one or two of their siblings in the industry blazing the trail, making waves and putting smiles on the faces of their well meaning fans.
For those who made our list, I wonder if acting runs in their blood. And if so, the incredible manner with which they built relevance around this industry is worth taking some time out to read up stuff about them. In the light of what the topic above projects, here's a list of 22 Nollywood stars who are related by blood in real life;
Mercy Johnson and Joseph Junior Johnson
Mercy Johnson doesn't need an introduction, her name rings a bell and she enjoys her relevance. On the flip side of the coin, I'm not sure I can write that about Mercy's younger brother. Thing is, he's rising and with his talent in view, he'd get to stardom.
Funke Akindele and Poga Akindele
While Funke is a talented actress who has already registered her heavy presence in the industry, Poga is a movie editor.
Chidinma Aneke and Chidiebere Aneke
Since 2004, the Aneke's has been blazing the trail. Their hit which ultimately announced them came from a certain movie "Desperate Twins".
Kunle Afolayan and Gabriel Afolayan
They're known for their block buster movies and their touchdown productions.
Yul Edochie and Linc Edochie
In many ways than one, the Edochie family remains an uncommon gift to the industry and we're proud of them (myself inclusive).
Oguike Sisters
To be beautiful is one thing and to be talented is another. But when both come by each other, the industry birthed Chisom Oguike, Chidinma Oguike and Chinenye Oguike. The movie series "My Kids And I" handed them to us and since then, they haven't gone low.
Dakore and Timini Egbuson
Dakore remains Timini's mentor and inspiration. Now who wouldn't, especially when you have an icon as Dakore as a sister and as a fire force.
Sola Kosoko and Bidemi Kosoko
The duo are super amazing and their inputs to every scene are such a beautiful thing to behold.
The Adebayo Brothers
Sodiq, Femi and Tope Adebayo
They're great and have what it takes to be on top of the log sooner than later.
Empress Njamah and John Njamah
From way back, Empress and John are still good on screenplay, empressing and enchanting.
