Pictures Of SS3 Students Signing Out After WAEC That Shows We Have A Long Way To Go (Pictures)
It is quite a conventional thing in Nigeria that, when a Nigerian graduates from the University, he or she would engage in a sign out process. This signing out comes in such a way that, final year students put on white shirts and get signatures or words of departure from friends. But, don't you think it's a misplaced priority to see Senior Secondary School Student, SSS3 precisely, engaging in the sign out process after their final West African Education Council (WAEC) exams?
Well, in the early hours of today, Pictures of secondary School students have been going round social Media and some notable media houses.
In these pictures, quite a good number of girls were seen wearing shirts that have been signed with water markers. These pictures reveal to the world that, we still have a long way to go.
The reason why I noted that the pictures shows that we still have a long way to go is that, it sounds so odd and appears so comical seeing Secondary School Students jubilating over a West African Senior Secondary School Certificate, an ordinary level (o'level) result.
Today, our educational sector is so worse to the extent that, our o'level result doesn't matter but, should we blame these secondary school girls because of this?
