Five lessons to learn from the lady that got missing yesterday after withdrawing N250,000 in Lagos - Opera News
Social media users especially Twitter were thrown in to shock after hearing a story of a 21 year old girl from Lagos who got missing following withdrawing 250,000 Naira from a bank. According to her family souces, the lady identified as Akinnusi Timilehin was last seen on wednesday, september 10, 2020 after she withdrew a sum of twp hundred and fiffty thousand Naira from a bank in Oyingbo area of Lagos.

But fortunately for the family members, she was found under a bridge in Ikosu-Ketu area of Lagos although, in a state nobody will want to see himself in. The exact account of what happened to her was sketchy at that time, but one thing is sure, the N250,000 she withdrew from the bank is no longer in her possession. What ever happened to her, may not be unrelated to the spate of insecurity that is currently affecting every part of the country.

But what lesson can we learn from Akinnusi incident? Here are five lesson that we can learn to prevent the like of what happened to her from happening to us:

1. Never go to the bank without a companion

People have a habit of going to the bank or ATM alone even if they are withdrawing a huge amount of money. This is really not a good idea because something could happen to you on your way and nobody can come to your aid at that time.

2. Don't borrow anything while inside the bank

Many people use to borrow pen or something when they went to the bank, but this is not a good idea. You should make sure that you go there with all your necessary documents and writing materials.

3. Avoid talking to strangers

Some people have the habit of talking rampantly to anybody they meet in the bank, to the extent that sometimes they disclose their personal information to him, which may put them and their family at risk. You have to know the type of person you talk to and the information you disclose to him, not everybody has a clean heart like yours.

4. Hide your money from the public eyes

Make sure that after you withdraw your money you keep it in a safe and convenient place away from the public eyes because some people go to bank not for the purpose of doing anything, but to spy on those that withdraw huge amount of money and follow them later.

5. Know the type of vehicle you enter

When going back home, you should know the type of taxi or keke-napep that will carry you to home because not all of them can be trusted. Sometimes miscreants can forge as a taxi driver in order to achieve their aim.

These are just few of several lessons that we can learn from this lady who got missing after withdrawing N250,000 from a bank in Lagos yesterday. May God continue to watch over our affairs and protect us from the evil people.
