Reasons Why APC Suspended Governor Fayemi

 

It has been released into the media that Ekiti State Executive Committee of APC has suspended Governor Kayode Fayemi. But the question is why?

 

According to the statement released by the party on Friday, Fayemi was suspended because of “his numerous anti-party activities, especially his role in the recently concluded governorship election in Edo State, which is contrary to the provisions of Article 21 (A) (ii) of the APC Constitution.” 

 

It was also reported that 5 days before Edo Election, Governor Fayemi hosted Mr. Femi Fani- Kayode (who is a PDP member) in the government house in Ado Ekiti. According to APC claims, Femi Fani-Kayode says nothing good about APC members and even President Muhammad Buhari and his Vice, Osibanjo.

Another issue the party raised against this Governor is that he played a big role in the election of governorship in Oyo State. What happened was that he greatly supported the PDP Candidate so that the APC Candidate was defeated.
