Manchester United fans have congratulated mason mason gre after he made his senior debut for England and they believe there will be plenty more to come.
Greenwood replaced Three Lions captain and Tottenham star Harry Kane with a little over 10 minutes remaining in the Nations League encounter with Iceland, which was still at a 0-0 deadlock.
England were at a disadvantage upon the 18-year-old's introduction after Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker had been sent-off after picking up his second yellow card.
Yet Greenwood was composed and assured in attack and looked dangerous whenever he approached the box with the ball at his feet, coming close with one chance that hit the side net.
England eventually went on to claim the win in a crazy end to the game in which they won a late penalty after Raheem Sterling's shot was handled in the area. The City man took the spot kick and slotted it right down the middle.
There was more drama to come, however, as Iceland got their own penalty deep into injury time after a foul by Joe Gomez but it was skied by Birkir Bjarnason.
The United youngster replaced captain Harry Kane in the 78th minute and showed some nice touches coming in off the right hand side.
At 18 years old, Greenwood is the third youngest England debutant from United, after Duncan Edwards and Wayne Rooney, as well as the 125th United academy graduate to represent the Three Lions.
