The international break is finally came to an end and Chelsea’s players are set to return to Cobham as they prepare to take on Southampton on Saturday evening.
The Blues will be aiming to build on their impressive 4-0 win over Crystal Palace under a fortnight ago, but they face a Saint’s full of confidence after back-to-back wins for Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side.
Chelsea were boosted by the return of Christian Pulisic during that game but Hakim Ziyech missed out but the 27-year-old winger made his return to action during Morocco 3-1 win over Senegal last week.

Hakim Ziyech
Hakim Ziyech has returned to Chelsea after return to action as a second-half substitute in Morocco 3-1 win over Senegal last Friday evening.
The 27-year-old winger withdrew from the international squad after Chelsea brokered an agreement with Morocco that he would be allowed to come back to Cobham after playing one fixture.
Ziyech is still awaiting his Chelsea debut after missing the start of the season with a knee injury sustained during a pre-season friendly against Brighton at the end of August.
The former Ajax midfielder is set to be in contention for the visit of Southampton this weekend.
Timo Werner
Timo Werner was suffering from illness and missed Germany’s 3-3 draw with Turkey last Wednesday. The Blues forward was then left out of the squad for the Ukraine game on Saturday.
However, in massive boost to Frank Lampard, the German hitman to action in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Switzerland on Tuesday night.
Furthermore, he was on the scoresheet and played the entire 90 minutes.
Edouard Mendy
Edouard Mendy, who made his Premier League debut for Chelsea in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace, might have to wait a while for his next appearance.
The 28-year-old was on international duty with Senegal when he suffered a thigh injury problems during training.
The new signing has returned to the club to undergo further tests, however, Mendy is now expected to be out for the next Premier League game.
Christian Pulisic
Christian Pulisic had been missing from Chelsea’s squad after recovering from a hamstring injury but made his first appearance of the season in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The USA international is expected to make his first start when Chelsea play host Southampton on Saturday evening.
Ben Chilwell
Ben Chilwell has been withdrawn from the England squad to face Denmark in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday evening.
After linking up with Gareth Southgate’s squad, he has aggravated the foot injury that saw him miss the start of the season.
‘Ben reported to the hotel today,’ Southgate said after the 2-1 win over Belgium.
‘He did a training session on his own. We’ve just got to assess where he’s at because he hasn’t been able to train through the week.
‘So, there’s a little bit of assessment needed over the next couple of days but he is with the group now.’
The former Leicester defender could miss the Blues next Premier League game this weekend.
