Out of favour Christian Eriksen says only boss Antonio Conte can explain why the he isn't getting regular game time at Inter Milan.
The Danish midfielder has struggled to gain favour with the Italian manager since joining from Tottenham in January.
Eriksen has featured in the last four games for the Italian side but failed to complete 90 minutes on each occasion and he voiced his frustration during a Q&A session organised by the Denmark FA on Thursday.
According to football-italia.net when Eriksen was asked by a fan why he is not playing on a regular basis under Conte he replied: 'This must be asked to the coach.
'Call him and talk to him, because he is the one who makes decisions. Ups and downs are always there in football, there are only a few ones out there who have always highs.'
'I've become better at not thinking about [criticism], because everyone has an opinion.
'Especially now that I've moved to Italy, where everyone has an opinion. It's about trusting those around you and not hearing the rest.'
During the international break earlier this month Eriksen had warned Conte that he is not happy sitting on the bench at Inter.
'I don't want to sit the bench for the whole season', he said.
'I hope this isn't the coach's or the club's intention. It is going to be a busy season, lot of games in program, I expect to play.
'It's never nice to sit the bench and one tends to be less patient as his experience grows.'
He continued: 'There are many expectations on me, people thought I'd do the difference in every game, but it didn't happen.
'That's why they are looking at me with different eyes.
'I've had highs and lows after the lockdown. I had a great start with Inter after I arrived and now I am living in a new situation.'
