How US Forces Rescue American Citizen Kidnapped In Nigeria, Kill 6 Of The 7 Captors

(CNN)US powers on Saturday safeguarded an American resident abducted by furnished men recently in Niger and held in northern Nigeria, the Pentagon said. 

"U.S. powers directed a prisoner salvage activity during the early long stretches of 31 October in Northern Nigeria to recuperate an American resident held prisoner by a gathering of outfitted men. This American resident is protected and is currently under the watchful eye of the U.S. Division of State. No U.S military work force were harmed during the activity," Pentagon representative Jonathan Hoffman said in an announcement. 

"We welcome the help of our worldwide accomplices in leading this activity. The United States will keep on ensuring our kin and our inclinations anyplace on the planet." 

The mission, which was a few hours since quite a while ago, was led by the Navy's first class SEAL Team 6 who were traveled to the area via Air Force extraordinary tasks, a US official with information on the activity told CNN. 

The US powers who led the mission executed six of the seven captors, the authority said. The US accepts the captors have no known connection with any dread gatherings working in the locale, and were almost certain outlaws looking for cash. 

The State Department affirmed recently that a US resident had been stole in Niger. 

Neighborhood news sources announced that the US resident was a male teacher. CNN has not had the option to affirm the resident's personality. 

The legislative leader of the nearby district where the kidnapping occurred was cited in different neighborhood media and by French media revealing from Niger as saying that six men on motorbikes outfitted with AK-47s went to the man's property in the town of Massalata, near the outskirt with Nigeria. 

The lead representative, Abdourahamane Moussa, told these news sources that subsequent to requesting cash, the men took the American resident with them toward the Nigerian fringe. 

The State Department representative said that "when a U.S. resident is missing, we work intimately with nearby specialists as they do their pursuit endeavors, and we share data with families anyway we can." 

On Saturday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US resident would be brought together with his family. 

"Because of the phenomenal fortitude and capacities of our military, the help of our knowledge experts, and our political endeavors, the prisoner will be brought together with his family," Pompeo said in an announcement. "We will never relinquish any American kidnapped."
