The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Obio/Akpor Chapter ably led by Amb. Engr. Chimenem Bobo Worlu, officially flagged off an intensive Forex training for 30 Obio/Akpor youths in the (first batch) that will run consecutively for three months.
The event started by 12noon on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 with an opening prayer led by Comr. Engr. Cyprain Worenwu, the Youth Leader of Eneka Clan.
The Chairman of the Committee cum Ward 13 Party Chairman, Engr. Nsirimuovu Samuel welcomed every participants and introduced the guests seated.
The President, NYCN Obio/Akpor Chapter, Amb. Engr.Chimenem Bobo Worlu while speaking officially welcomed the participants and said that one of the aim of the Programme is to change the narratives of strangers who have been saying that Obio/Akpor youths are dormant, that the era of Cutlass and hoe has gone and will not return.
He said that there is no fund but the Executive are making sure they fulfill the promise they made during the Int’l Youth Day on 12th August, 2020 held at Obio Akpor LGA Secretariat.
According to him, the LGA Chairman, Hon. Prince Solomon Abel Eke JP is aware of the training, while explaining to the youths Solomon’s developmental strides.
He said, “Our Boss Prince Solomon has been a man of his word, he has been working tirelessly to ensure that Obio/Akpor is peaceful and youth take up there ground in the LGA, he has done many projects in the LGA, he just concluded WAEC where he prepared a landing ground for Obio/Akpor children, sons and daughters that sat for the examination by giving them e-learning. He has also provided a venue for JAMB that will also come. In the past he did the same.”
This Training will run batch by batch and it is free of charge.
“But, I want to appeal to you if you know that you don’t have the mental capacity or what it takes to que into this journey, give it to someone else, So you don’t waste the opportunity. I don’t believe there is a dull head, everybody must catch up.”
So I encourage you to take this serious. “So many world Billionaires today are all Forex Traders. You can’t see any rich man today who has no link to Forex that is why I call it a world class Programme.”
He charged them to put there efforts, mental strength and make the LGA, state Council Chairman and others proud.
“We have thousands of persons that wants to embark on this journey but because of the resources we are running batch by batch. I pray God that there will be a Divine wisdom from above so that by the next 3 months this Programme will not be at this shape.” he added.
He gave accolades to His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS
Governor of Rivers State.
He said, “We are proud of His Excellency, he is the grassroots Commander of youth business as far as Nigeria is concern. I have never seen any Governor that loves the Youths more than our Governor Wike. Anything that concerns the youths concerns him, so that is why we choose to bring this first to his local government.
“Therefore, we flag off this Programme in the Name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo, NYCN Chairman, Rivers State and currently South-South Chairman of all Chairmen was ably represented by his State Secretary General, Comr. David Apiafi who sent the Chairman’s greetings saying that the State Youth Chairman went on an official assignment to Khana LGA. He appreciated the organizers of the programme; the Coordinator of Obio/Akpor Chapter, Amb. Chimenem and his Executives.
He said, “This stage that we are in is the knowledge age, where whatever you want to become is based on what you have upstairs that is what will determine what you will be. The earlier you build your intelligent quotient the better.”
He said that the programme that is been kick-start today will make them to fit-in to the challenges of tomorrow, “if you are better equipped today then you can be able to face the economic challenges of tomorrow, this is one of the platforms.
“I thank you for being part of this epoch-making Programme and I believe that at the end of this Programme we all will be part of this dream.” He added.
The Programme Instructor, Mr. Divine Onuma, congratulated the beneficiaries and prayed God for a better teaching and learning process with them.
One of the beneficiary’s who spoke on behalf of his colleagues appreciated the organizers, saying that though the task ahead may be not easy but they are prepared to work hard, and put in their best to achieve success at the end.
