An arrangement has been gone after Kyril Louis-Dreyfus to purchase Stewart Donald's controlling interest in Sunderland, making ready for a takeover.
Matured only 22, Louis-Dreyfus, the child of previous Marseille proprietor Robert Louis-Dreyfus, would turn into the most youthful executive in English football.
The Frenchman will become director in the new year, subject to endorsement by the English Football League.
Donald, who ventured down as director in July, holds a 74% stake in the club.
