An arrangement has been gone after Kyril Louis-Dreyfus to purchase Stewart Donald's controlling interest in Sunderland, making ready for a takeover.

Matured only 22, Louis-Dreyfus, the child of previous Marseille proprietor Robert Louis-Dreyfus, would turn into the most youthful executive in English football.

The Frenchman will become director in the new year, subject to endorsement by the English Football League.

Donald, who ventured down as director in July, holds a 74% stake in the club.

"It's been no mystery that I have been searching for quite a while to locate the perfect individual to take Sunderland forward," Donald told the club site.

"Throughout the most recent year there have been a variety of individuals needing to dominate.

"Nonetheless, despite the fact that it involves freely available report that a portion of those bidders offered me more cash, I felt that they offered less to the club and to the network.

"While from the early gatherings with Kyril, his family and guides, I have been significantly dazzled with their insight and understanding, learned over an extensive stretch as proprietors of significant football clubs in Belgium and France.

"I accept that experience, joined with a decent arrangement, will give a stage to the club to advance and I anticipate watching that progress from a remote place."

Previous Eastleigh proprietor Donald has been Sunderland's larger part investor since May 2018, when he took over from past proprietor Ellis Short.

He has been attempting to sell the Black Cats for as long as a year and said he was "edgy to get out" of the League One club in the late spring.

"We consciously anticipate the EFL's endorsement for this exchange," Louis-Dreyfus said.

"Regardless it would be delinquent of me at this stage not to accentuate what a colossal honor it would be for me to get engaged with quite a noteworthy club, in a city famous for its rich football culture returning to 1879.

"Many will know about my family associations with the business and, in procuring Sunderland AFC, I comprehend the obligation that is set upon me as the caretaker of the club's future.

"On the off chance that we as a whole play our parts, I immovably accept we can reestablish Sunderland AFC to the top level of English football and I can hardly wait to begin."
