President Muhammadu Buhari is deeply saddened by the fatal crash of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft on Sunday in Abuja that claimed the lives of seven personnel.
On behalf of the Federal Government, President Buhari extends heartfelt condolences to family members, friends and colleagues of those who died as a result of this tragedy.
The President joins the Nigerian Air Force, the navy and other Nigerians in mourning the unlucky lack of the committed and courageous employees, who died in the line of obligation.
President Buhari notes that while investigations into the reason of the crash are ongoing, the safety of the Nigerian airspace remains a key priority of the government.
He prays that God will comfort the bereaved families and country, and grant the souls of the departed non violent rest.

HUMANITARIAN MINISTER GRIEVES NAF PLANE CRASH
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq has expressed deep sorrow following the crash of a Nigerian Air Force Beechcraft KingAir B350i Aircraft on Sunday in Abuja.
The plane become said to have advanced an engine hassle six mins after take- off and crashed nine minutes after the problem became reported .
Umar Farouq expressed disappointment at the crash and lack of lives aboard the plane.
“I am deeply bowled over and saddened via this tragic prevalence. I sympathize with the Nigerian Airforce and the families of folks that misplaced their lives within the crash.
“The Nigerian Airforce has been of large help to our humanitarian activities since the advent of the Ministry. They have helped to airlift humanitarian relief for Persons of Concern (POCs) especially for the duration of the lockdown period to curtail the spread of Covid 19 in 2020 and to victims of flood, banditry, communal clashes and other screw ups.
“We recognize the offerings of the air team specially the pilots who've put in loads of hours of flying us to and from regions stricken by screw ups and other humanitarian problems
.
“We pray that God will console the households they left behind and provide them the fortitude to bear the lack of their expensive ones”, Umar Farouq stated.
Seven passengers had been reportedly onboard the unwell-fated plane consisting of two crew individuals.
The aircraft turned into en-route Minna whilst it crashed brief of the Abuja runway.

Aircraft Crash: Sanwo-Olu commiserates with FG, NAF, victims’ families
Lagos State Governor, @jidesanwoolu has commiserated with the Federal Government and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) over the crash of Nigerian Air Force Beechcraft KingAir B350 plane, a army aircraft, in Abuja on Sunday.
The Governor also commiserated with families, friends and associates of the victims of the unfortunate crash.
Sanwo-Olu expressed his condolence in a message signed by way of his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile on Sunday.
He prayed that God might furnish the deceased everlasting relaxation and provide the households they left at the back of the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable losses.
