The nation’s power grid suffered its first collapse this year on Wednesday, plunging parts of the country into a blackout.
Two of the electricity distribution companies in the country, Ikeja Electric Plc and Eko Electricity Distribution Company Plc, disclosed this in messages to their customers through their Twitter handles on Wednesday.
It stated, “This is to tell you that we skilled a machine collapse at thirteen:58hrs nowadays and this affected all customers at the IE community. However, we're pleased to verify that supply has been restored to Alimosho, Ogba, and Alausa transmission stations at 14:47hrs.
“Please be aware that slow recuperation to different regions is currently ongoing. Thank you for your knowledge.”
EKEDC said, “There has been a partial gadget collapse on the countrywide grid interrupting deliver to maximum regions within our community. We are gathering updates at the scenario and could provide them as available.
