Music Industry Pits Women Against One Another - Famous Singer Simi Says

 

Singer Simi has shared her personal experiences as well as some of the challenges women go through in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Born Simisola Kosoko, the 32-year-old shared this in a series of tweets on Friday.

She said female entertainers are constantly pitted against one another to remodel their self-esteem.

“Tbh some of the things I’ve experienced – specifically as a woman – in this industry. Lol. They will try to pit you against other women. Try to redefine ur value. Try to get in your head and remodel your self-esteem. And I have even had it easier than many,” she said.

In any other tweet, Simi stated it's far less complicated for men inside the enterprise to get away with something than it's far for women.

The ‘Duduke’ singer advised lady entertainers seeking to get ahead of others within the enterprise at all value to observe their steps.

“Ladies trying to get ahead on this enterprise – be careful the f***s u deliver, cos many don’t care approximately u as an awful lot as they care approximately using u. Protect yourself. When it’s you vs the industry, placed urself first. Make sure ur fabric is outstanding and don’t ever prevent status up for urself!” she stated.
