The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied arresting the Media Aide to Governor Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Tanko Yakasai over his comments against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Salihu Tanko-Yakasai, had called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to either deal with bandits in the country or resign.
A record then emerged on Saturday that he has been arrested.
But the DSS State Director, Muhammad Alhassan advised DAILY POST that, “we've got not arrested or maybe invited Salihu, don’t forget about he is our friend, occasionally, he advises us on issues of vital Security situations in Kano”.
Tanko had on Friday thru his Twitter web page, at the same time as reacting to the abduction of college students at Government Girls’ Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State, said “the truth that the development comes approximately a week after a few schoolboys have been also kidnapped by means of bandits in Kagara, Niger State, suggests the authorities has failed its broadly speaking responsibility.”
He said the All Progressives Congress-led government had failed Nigerians, noting that it can not retain to lament when tragedy happens without taking any movement to prevent a repeat.
He wrote on Twitter: “Clearly, we as APC authorities, at all degrees, have failed Nigerians inside the #1 responsibility we had been elected to do that is to secure lives & residences.
