Two women, identified as Ruka Tayo, and Abiola Jimoh, were on Friday arraigned before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court for beating up a new wife at her husband’s residence.
Ruka Tayo, 38, and Abiola Jimoh, 35, are standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy to commit an offence and assault.
The offences contravened the provisions of Sections 412 and 172 of Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
The defendants pleaded not responsible to the costs, according to NAN.
The Prosecutor, ASP Gbemileke Agoi, informed the courtroom that they dedicated the offences on February 26 at about 4p.M at Road 7, Mowowole Estate, Oreta Igbogbo place of Ikorodu.
The duo attacked the complainant, Adeyemi Morenikeji, at her home for marrying the former husband of one among them.

The Magistrate, R. A. Onilogbo admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N50,000 every.
She ordered them to supply two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until March 31.
