Governor Chukwuma Soludo today, 18th March 2022, visited the urban settlement, Upper Iweka, and several sites in Onitsha to make on-the-spot assessments in his urban redevelopment aim, in keeping with his commitment to start his administration from Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area.
Industrial Harbour, Permanent Site Fruits and Vegetables Market, Obodoukwu Road, Ede Road and adjourning streets, St. Lunga, Owerri road, and Port-Harcourt road, all in Onitsha, are among the areas the Governor is likely to visit.
The Governor's aim from the start has been to start his administration's urban renewal initiative and tap into the enormous resources in Okpoko, which sadly boasts the state's largest urban slum.
United Nations representatives, state security chiefs, Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Executive Chairman of the Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, and others are among the visitors.
