Mesut Ozil’s agent, Erkut Sogut, has refused to rule out the midfielder’s move to Fenerbahce after the expiration of his Arsenal contract.
The ex-Real Madrid star’s contract with the Gunners expires in 2021, and he has been tipped to join the Turkish giants in some media reports.
Ozil boasts of strong ties with Fenerbahce through his mother and a potential move had been hinted in the past.
With that in mind, the 31-year-old’s representative said – while the player is happy at the Emirates Stadium and remains a Gunner – a transfer cannot be ruled out.
“You never know in football. First of all, you can never predict the movement of players,” Sogut told Goal.“I have said it before and I am saying it again that he [Ozil] is really happy where he is at Arsenal. He is still has a contract to go and there is no change.“We will see what the future holds when the contract ends but for now, there is nothing I can say.”
