Lagos to replace Okada, tricycle from July
The LAGOS state government will introduce in July what it describes as the First Mile and Last Mile (FMLM) mobility solution to replace the banned Okada and trike.
Transportation Commissioner Frederick Oladeinde, speaking yesterday at the 2020 ministerial press conference at JJT Park, Alausa, Ikeja, said: "Following the restriction of motorcycles and tricycles for suburban operations in certain areas of the metropolis, the government is working on the implementation of a First Mile and Last Mile (FMLM) mobility solution. The Lagos State government has inaugurated 37 roads and repaired and rehabilitated more than 354 others.
He said that ongoing and incomplete projects inherited from previous administrations would be completed to improve the standard of living of the lakes.
