The worst thing that can happen to any Christian is for the spirit of God to depart from them. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of God and Jesus promised His disciples that He'll give them the Holy Spirit after He'd gone. This means that as a Christian, the Holy Spirit is supposed to dwell in you.
However, for different reasons, the Holy Spirit has departed from many. If you're experiencing any of this, it is an indication that the spirit of God has left you.
PRAYERS WITHOUT RESULTS
If you constantly pray without getting any results, it's a clear indication that the spirit of God has left you. This is because the spirit of God is the power of God in you that commands results. If your prayers are not commanding results then it is an indication that God's spirit isn't functioning in you.
NOT ENJOYING THE THINGS OF GOD
If you no longer enjoy the things of God, it is another clear indication that the spirit of God has left you. If you struggle to pray, read your Bible, worship God, listen to sermons etc, the spirit of God no longer resides in you.
REBELLION
If you find yourself constantly rebelling against the things of God, against the church of God, against other people, always fighting otters and causing commotion, the spirit of God has left you.
REJECTION FROM MAN
If wherever you go, you constantly face rejection, when others are accepted, if it gets to your turn, they'll say no, it is a clear indication that the spirit of God has left you. If you do not get constant favour from God and man, the spirit of God has left you.
SICKNESS AND POVERTY
Sickness is of the devil and is a clear indication that your spiritual life is leaking, if it is consistent in your life. Because where the spirit of God is, there is liberty and the spirit of God cannot dwell in a place and sickness will be there. it's not possible. So, if you're constantly sick, it means the spirit of God is absent. Poverty is relative. If you can at least provide for your basic needs, it's good but if you're in a life of struggle, constantly struggling to feed a day, you need to pray for the spirit of God.
FEAR/NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
This is a major indicator that the spirit of God has left you.
FORNICATION AND ADULTERY
If you find yourself constantly fornicating or practising adultery, it is a sure sign that the spirit of God is very far from you. Because your body is the temple of God. Once you defile, the spirit of God leaves immediately.
If you're experiencing any of the above, the spirit of God is absent in your life. You need to re-dedicate your life to Christ and re-invite the Holy Spirit into your life because a life void of the Holy Spirit makes a man powerless. And any life without God is a life with the devil. Ask God for mercy and for Him to restore the Holy Spirit into your life.
