It is no longer news that schools were closed down because of the recent pandemic disease. The Federal Government Of Nigeria suspended all school activities in March 2020. This was done in order to curtail the spread of the disease.
Students all over the country have been eager to know when schools will reopen. This has caused a lot of confusion because the students have stayed for more than 3 months at home.
Prior to the suspension of school activities, most primary and secondary schools didn't complete their academic sessions. Some of them were about to write their exams while others were yet to commence.
Also, university students were unable to complete their academic sessions. This happened before the Federal Government suspended all the school activities within the country.
All federal and private schools should reopen on 27th July and not November 2020 (Opinion).
In my own opinion, I will recommend that schools should reopen on 27th July 2020 and not November 2020.
Since the Federal Government Of Nigeria has stated that they are making plans in order to make sure that schools reopen. They equally stated that measures are being put in place to ensure that the disease will not spread within the students.
It is believed that before 27th July, most states must have lifted its ban on inter state movement. This will enable the students to travel to their various schools and institutions of study. So, it is advisable to reopen schools on 27th July 2020.
Reopening schools on 27th July and not November 2020 will definitely help most schools in the country. It will help them to conclude their academic sessions quickly and move over to the next session before the year ends.
