Chief Anthony Hassan to Establish First Private University in Southern Kaduna

Now that we have one of our own who has taken a giant step, let’s do all we can to support this step.

Economy of a University:

A lot happens around the community where a university campus is sited and located. 

Jobs, businesses, livelihoods, property market, farmers, markets, all stand to benefit when a university campus is sited in a community. I sat down with Chief Anthony Hassan recently and understood that there are currently about 500 people working on the site of the University. No doubt this has helped create lots of Jobs. The economy of Kachia will not be the same again.

Now that we have an ongoing process of setting up one in Southern Kaduna, it’s not the time to start arguing about who started first. It’s the time to start thinking of how we can add value to the University economy, support the progress of the university and also invest in making it one of the best in the country. I believe the owners of the university will be very open to partnership opportunities, this I encourage all of us to look at avenues where we can partner with the university to add value to its offering and make a statement from Southern Kaduna. 

This one is our own so let’s build and support it in whatever way we can. Let’s help make it our own Harvard, Cambridge and Yale. 

I encourage our academicians to seek opportunities to add value and partner with the university. I call on our business moguls to seek opportunities to invest in this worthy project. This university must succeed and be great. With this one , our sons and daughters who can afford the private fees will at least have a reliable first choice university before thinking of others. Let’s do it.
