The international future of Toronto FC wonderkid Ayo Akinola has been the subject of debate in recent days following his brilliant start to the season, with five goals in his first two matches in the MLS is Back Tournament.
Born in Detroit, United States to Nigerian parents Akinola qualifies to represent Nigeria, United States and Canada, where he has been for a significant period having moved to the country at the age of one.
Akinola's agent Nick Huoseh has stressed that his client is undecided about his international future.
The United States Soccer Federation, Canadian Soccer Association and the Nigerian Federation are determined to secure the services of Akinola as they have all reached out to him.
