Emmanuel Amuneke has dismissed Nigeria Football Federation's proposition for employment as Super Eagles Assistant coach under Franco-German gaffer, Gernot Rohr, Completesports.com reports.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup champ in Chile 2015 was unequivocal when he addressed Complete Sports from his base in Spain, questioning the reasoning behind the proposal for him to work under anybody regardless of his high training family.
A Winner of the African Cup of Nations in 1994 and Olympic Games Soccer gold in 1996, Amuneke had recently dismissed NFF's Technical Director work which is presently held by his previous Super Eagles partner, Austin Eguavoen.
The 1996 Africa Footballer of the Year is presently the Sporting Director of Egyptian Premier League side, Msr El Makkasa.
"However, for what reason would it be advisable for me to be an associate mentor to anybody with my family? With what I've done in the game, both as a player and as a mentor, I think it is typical for me to be going higher than diving to working under another mentor," Amuneke questioned rather logically.
