Angler Paul Lore, 33, caught a fish with a freaky smile whilst on a trip in Florida, and discovered its powerful mouth was full of rows and rows of human-like teeth

This is the truly bizarre moment an angler caught a fish and discovered its mouth was full of human-like teeth.

Paul Lore was fishing near Melbourne, Florida, USA, when he encountered the creature and its uncanny gnashers.

The 33-year-old said: “It has a zebra pattern of colouring and the body is more like a snapper-type fish – very compact but meaty.

“The teeth can only be described as human-like teeth but upon further inspection you’ll notice they have rows of these teeth like a shark.

“Most of them have two to three rows with very strong bite power – not enough to take a finger but enough to make you never go near the teeth again.”

He delivered: “It’s one of the most unearthly fish I have encountered simply based totally off the advent.” What he’d observed was a sheepshead – a species with a terrible popularity among fishermen due to their penchant for stealing a seize.

And their freaky smile is a result of their weight loss plan. Mr Lore, who at the beginning comes from Honolulu, Hawaii, stated: “They use these enamel to interrupt barnacles, clam shells, and crab shells.

“They especially consumes crustaceans, so they want those kind of teeth to break them open. “Then the shells pop out of their gills almost like a filter out so that they do now not eat plenty of the shell.”

He endured: “The fish is nicknamed ‘the poor guy’s crab’ round my elements. “That’s because they're easy to trap and that they specifically consume unique kinds of crab and shrimp so that they flavor like crab meat.

“They are very strong swimmers, as quickly as you hook them they swim sideways with loads of pressure so even a small one looks like a big fish.”

Sheepshead begin to broaden enamel after they’re just four.5mm lengthy and that they have a full set by the time they’re 15mm lengthy.

They’re normally located along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of the US, and Sheepshead Bay in New York City is called after them.
