Tragedy befell Ikyangedu community in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State when John Abugu, a would-be groom, was crushed to death a few hours to his wedding. According to The Nation, a Toyota Hilux van ran into the deceased two hours to his wedding.
Abugu reportedly met his tragic end while on his way to pick up his wedding suit at the shop of a nearby drycleaner.
The van crushed him and he was rushed to the hospital where he died in the course of treatment.
Mr Julius Abugu, a chum of the deceased, who became with him at the motorbike on the time the coincidence befell, recalled that he and the late groom had gone to choose his wedding ceremony in shape on the dry cleanser at about 8.30 am on the fateful day as the wedding become scheduled for 10 am.
